We are beyond thrilled to offer the RARE Spanish version of this already rare poster! This example was originally acquired by an attendee who ripped it off of a wall at the festival. We have never seen another example auctioned.

The Mar Y Sol Pop Festival, also called "The First International Puerto Rick Pop Festival" took place in Manati, Puerto Rico, from April 1 - 3, 1972. The festival has an infamous reputation, due to a number of factors. A warrant for the arrest of the festival's promoter, Alex Cooley, was issued due to criticism of the event from Puerto Rican government officials. However, Cooley fled the island before the conclusion of the event and managed to avoid arrest.

Despite these drawbacks, the Mar Y Sol Festival featured some legendary musical acts such as Alice Cooper, the Allman Brothers Band, B.B. King, and more. However, some of the acts including Black Sabbath and Fleetwood Mac had to drop out due to issues with the Puerto Rican government.

This piece, especially the Spanish version offered here, is extremely uncommon and is unlikely to appear in another public auction anytime soon! Bid accordingly!
