The Monterey Pop Festival was one of the most pivotal musical events in history. The festival welcomed in the Summer of Love and featured the first U.S. performances by both Jimi Hendrix and The Who!

Printed on silver foil this Original Pre-Concert OP-2 version is the smaller poster that was sold as merchandise at the event. It's one of the most beautiful important and sought after posters of the entire era and is prominently displayed in The Art of Rock plate 3.5.

Due to the unsurpassed historical significance of this poster and the incredible design this will always be considered one of the most important and desirable concert posters ever created. We previously sold a 8.5 CGC graded example for $4,200 in our July 2021 auction. This 8.0 graded example here is not far off in regards to condition to the 8.5 copy.

The market has grown to extraordinary heights over the past 3+ years so it will be interesting to see what value the market attaches to this highly sought after issue at this moment in time!
