This lot features a very scarce and desirable poster from the early years of the Grateful Dead. This well designed small run hand pulled silk-screen is a highly sought after relic from the bands storied 30 year history. This poster was printed in ridiculously low quantities. There were allegedly only 20 copies that were made by the student print shop at Washington University for this concert.  According to accounts most of these were posted around the campus and many were destroyed by powerful storms that were in the area the day of the show.

There are a few variances in the run of this poster. Small run Dead posters like this from the bands’ early days are very difficult to come by and fetch top dollar when offered publically.

This concert was during the Dead’s classic  ‘69“Live Dead” line up that included and Tom Constanten on keyboards.  A brief recollection of the concert can be found here; https://magazine.wustl.edu/2013/october/Pages/Live-at-Wash-U.aspx
