Lot of 7 Vintage Jazz Report Ventura CA Periodicals

The Jazz Report was a magazine published in Ventura, CA between 1960 and 1974. The magazine was published monthly in 1961 and 1962, but later became bi-monthly and eventually was only published when money would allow. This lot features 7 of the RARE AND EARLY, monthly Jazz Report magazines from 1961. Each cover is graced with a drawing related to a different jazz musician, with the exception of one that reads "this cover is dedicated to those who wrote in to say they didn't like my artwork. We aim to please". The magazines also contain detailed information for both the Jazz as well as Blues genres of the early '60s, including original record label descriptions and release dates. They also contain many original drawings and doodles. A great little collection of early 1960s music history!
