This original, cardboard tour blank poster features The Chuck Berry Trio in 1955 as part of the Big Rock & Roll Show, including many additional acts of the era, like the Buddy Johnson Orchestra, The Nutmegs, The Spaniels and more. This is a somewhat early issue for Chuck Berry and the poster advertises his FIRST HIT SINGLE "Maybellene". He was still referred to as "The Chuck Berry Trio" at this time with Johnnie Johnson on Piano and Ebby Hardy on drums. The Trio title was soon dropped within a matter of months and Berry became the Rock 'n Roll Icon he will always be remembered as.

Due to its historical significance there is a copy of this poster hanging at the Play IT Loud exhibit in New York City at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. This is now a traveling exhibition! Chuck Berry material has been absolutely on fire ever since the legend's passing. Original cardboard posters are super popular and remain one of the most highly sought after type of concert memorabilia ever known. They rarely show up at public auction and when they do they are always met with enthusiastic bidding! This early piece truly has it all.
