This lot offers a very early Grateful Dead poster in near pristine condition. This original poster was created for an event called the Beaux Arts Ball that was held in Sacramento California in late ‘66. A very young Grateful Dead performed two sets along with Quicksilver Messenger Service as the opening band however there are no audio recordings or known setlists archived of the concert.

There were two different posters created for this event this one here by artist Jack Ogden and another on brown paper by Jim Carrico. Both are scarce and valuable posters from the infancy of the band with very low original print runs and low survival rates. We've only seen this original poster surface through our hands just a handful of times in the past 13 years and one of them was a restored piece. This super clean specimen here is 100% Original with no restoration! Don't pass up this chance to acquire one of the most sought-after early Grateful Dead posters with CGC grading!
