1979 Blondie WPLJ FM New York Radio Promo Poster

This amazing poster was used for promotion around New York City subway stations in 1979! It advertised 95.5 WPLJ, a famous radio station located in the city that, at the time this poster was created, played the heavier rock music of the era. The poster depicts Blondie's Debbie Harry, and reads "New York's Best Mornings Start With WPLJ's News, Weather, Time, and Blondie". WPLJ remains active today, but has since become a Christian music station. We've noticed a recent spike in the popularity of Blondie items, and this is one that definitely won't come around again any time soon!This bus ad was created by Sci-fi artist extraordinaire OLIVIA !
