1981 James Brown Natchez Globe Cardboard Poster

The amazing James Brown appears on this SUPER RARE, original cardboard poster printed by Globe Poster in December 1981! The poster advertised the Godfather of Soul's appearance at the Natchez Convention Center in Natchez, Mississippi. Brown was already decades into his 50+ year long career at this point. We've never seen this first printing poster surface before!

From its opening in 1929 until its closure in 2010, Globe Poster Company in Baltimore was the go-to place for musicians, circuses, drag races, and concert producers for bold, eye-catching letterpress advertising. It's no secret that Globe cardboard concert posters are the gold standard amongst advanced collectors. They rarely show up at public auction and when they do, they are always met with enthusiastic bidding!
