What a wonderful collaboration between two legendary artists, Stanley Mouse and the late great Alton Kelley. "The central image (on this poster) is an early drawing of the character who eventually was developed into Alfred E. Newman, the logo of Mad Magazine...If there was anyone element of the '50s that foreshadowed the subversive counterculture of the '60s, it was Mad Magazine. All the Psychedelic poster artists had read it and been influenced by it, and it is appropriate that Alfred E. Newman be given his due homage..." Eric King states in The Collector's Guide to Psychedelic Rock Concert Posters, Postcards, and Handbills 1965-1973: Volume 1.
