All early Family Dog posters have always been amongst the most popular and in demand issues with collectors. But the FD-10 has special historical significance and importance as the very FIRST Family Dog issue to advertise the Grateful Dead at the Avalon Ballroom. Even though the band was third on the bill, history clearly proved that they were the most innovative, inspirational and improvisational band of the era.
According to Eric King's Collector's Guide, Family Dog posters 1-13 were produced in tiny editions of just 1000 or less! Of this tiny number, perhaps 10-15% exist 50+ years later in ANY condition!
