This 9.8 CGC graded, first printing treasure features artwork from beloved poster artist Rick Griffin. This cartoon alien image is amongst the most popular designs from the short lived Denver Family Dog Series.

The Doors FD-D18 poster is the only one done for the band by this highly collected artist. The lettering is also one of the more difficult to decipher of any of Rick's work. It was produced during the peak of Rick Griffin's quintessential psychedelic poster artwork period, produced just about a month prior to his epic Jimi Hendrix / Flying Eyeball Fillmore concert poster, and has already carved out it's place as one of the most intense Doors concert posters ever produced.

Just a few months before these late December 67 New Years concert dates at the Denver Dog, the Doors 2nd hit LP, STRANGE DAYS, was released. Great artwork, great artist, great band, and great condition. High grade examples of this rare original first printing poster always generate heavy bidding and much deserved attention! We sold a previous example of the same grade in 2019 for $3000.
