This second printing poster offers the same popular and iconic art for far less than a First Print currently commands! Gary Grimshaw created this poster to promote a benefit concert for John Sinclair at University of Michigan on December 10th, 1971. Two years prior, Sinclair was sentenced to ten years in prison for possession of marijuana. A protest movement led by prominent figures of the day ensued - many events in Detroit and held at the Grande prior to this event. Sinclair was eventually freed in December 1971, just three days after THIS famous John Sinclair Freedom Rally in Ann Arbor.

This benefit in December at Crisler Arena was hosted by an incredible list of speakers AND musicians. John Lennon & Yoko Ono performed, along with big names of the era like Commander Cody and Phil Ochs. Event speakers included Bobby Seale of the Black Panther Party, Allen Ginsberg, Leni Sinclair and many more.
