This original handbill was produced for a Grateful Dead show in the Northern California town of Santa Rosa. This specimen is a true standout. The portraits of the Dead in this piece were rendered beautifully by Stanley Mouse (Workingman's Dead art) and Timothy Dixon created the image and lettering. 1970 was a time of change for the Grateful Dead. They were about to alter their sound and songwriting structure to a more folkish acoustic style with new albums like "Workingman's Dead" and "American Beauty". This original handbill is a testament to that glorious era.
