Here we are offering a special poster from Switzerland in 1968 featuring the incomparable Jimi Hendrix. It should be noted that this is not a concert poster, but a poster that was given out by the anti-authoritarian section of the Labour party in Zurich. Hendrix played a two sold-out shows in Zurich on May 30th and 31st that year along with John Mayall, Eric Burdon & The Animals, Traffic, and more. After the second show, a group of fans marched to the city's police station and were met with brutal police force which spurred riots. Just four weeks later, the infamous Globus riots took place, which marked the beginning of an anti-establishment youth movement in Switzerland. The reverse of this poster features photos from the Rolling Stones' appearance in Zurich the previous year and the Zuricher rallies that took place at the same time. The slogan satisfaction is possible - rebellion is entitled appears here. The poster was designed by Peter King.
