Yet another of Lee Conklin's surreal beauties! This is a poster for Iron Butterfly at the Fillmore West in early 1969. Conklin's use of color and imagery are always surprising; the design elements in this poster are diverse and yet, work harmoniously. Even without the influence of chemicals, this poster looks ALIVE. Its colors and brilliance reach out and grab whoever views it. It's amazing. The 9.8 grade is well deserved!
