The original, pre-concert first printing handbill being offered here was designed for the original site by Fillmore East poster artist, David Byrd. His signature is present on the bottom margin of the piece. The Woodstock Music and Arts Fair is easily the most famous musical/cultural event of the 1960's. The festival was originally intended to be held in Wallkill, New York. Permits, however, were denied and the festival promoters had to find a new location just a month prior to the festival. The festival was then moved to Bethel ,New York. The rest is history. The event represented the peak of the 1960's music scene. In many ways, it also signified the end of the era.

This stunning, 9.8 Museum Quality example is bright and fresh, with sharp corners and fantastic eye appeal. With the growth rate of authenticated material continuing to increase, this gem is bound to become even more desirable with each passing year. It exhibits all the attributes collectors are looking for in a blue chip piece!
