The Woodstock Music and Arts Fair is easily the most famous musical/cultural event of the 1960s. The festival was originally intended to be held in Wallkill, New York. Permits, however, were denied and the festival promoters had to find a new location just a month prior to the festival. The festival was then moved to Bethel, NY. The rest is history.

The original pre-concert first printing poster being offered here was designed for the original site by Fillmore East poster artist, David Byrd. It is much harder to track down than the other popular Woodstock fest posters. Over the years, we have only come across a handful of them. Most were not CGC authenticated. Beat-up, heavily damaged, non-CGC examples in much lower quality condition than this specimen here, have traded hands up to $700 in our past auctions. This lot offers a great opportunity! 100% Original with no restoration!
