An unearthed treasure for Dylan collectors! This Bob Dylan piece was produced to promote the folk singer's appearance at the Masonic Scottish Rite Cathedral in Detroit on October 17th 1964. The flyer is double sided and was meant to be a mailer from The Retort a Detroit coffeehouse which opened the year prior and quickly became known for featuring up and coming folk singer / songwriters.

This was an important era for Dylan. His 4th album Another Side of Bob Dylan" had just been released 2 months before this concert. Less than 2 weeks later he would perform the famous 1964 Halloween show at New York's Philharmonic Hall. He would then embark on a run of shows across the country in late November making his way out to the west coast for concerts in San Francisco Long Beach and San Diego. Dylan was near the end of his folk - political song era heading towards his break into Electric rock a half a dozen months later.

Early Bob Dylan material like this rarely sells at public auction as Dylan pieces are almost always held back primarily trading privately for some other major rarity instead of being sold for currency. For one to surface from so early in his career is almost unheard of and when it does collectors across the globe take notice. If you are the type of disciplined collector that absolutely demands your acquisitions have each of the following: Top 5 legendary performer unprecedented scarcity and historical significance then this is the lot you should be focused on. A very special opportunity not to be missed!
