This super scarce and original concert poster advertised a performance by Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention at the Berkeley Community Theatre on November 30th, 1968. The Mothers had recently released their scathing satirical take on the "Hippie" scene on their 3rd studio album "We're only in it for the Money". This line up of the Mothers included Lowell George during his short tenure in the band. According to legend, Zappa quickly parted ways with the future founder of Little Feat due to George's immense appetite for mind altering substances. Also, reportedly, Zappa was floored after hearing an early version of the classic 'Willin' and told Lowell that he had a huge music career ahead of him. This is the FIRST example of this scarce poster we have ever auctioned or handled. Printed on Heavy Stock.
