From The Houston Freeburg Collection. Artist Greg Irons was one of the great-unsung heroes of the 1960's psychedelic art scene. Irons was a master underground comix poster and tattoo artist. His style was perfect for each of those mediums. This was the artist’s first poster for the Fillmore series. The story was that Greg went to Bill Graham with a copy of a poster he had just created for the Western Front. After seeing Irons' work Graham allegedly gave him 24 hours to produce this poster. Not bad for a rush job huh?
