This mock cartoon image by John Van Hamersveld uses black and white photo cuts of band members like Pigpen and Jerry Garcia to promote a 2 night run at the Shrine featuring the oldest juveniles in the state of California, The Grateful Dead. In the book The Art of Rock on page 255. John Van Hamersveld and the Grateful Dead do not appear together on posters often. There is a rabid demand for any posters or handbills featuring Pigpen.
