A super early Grateful Dead Original Double-Sided ROUND Handbill! The 1968 Newport Pop Festival was one of the earliest large-scale festivals. Held at the Orange County Fairgrounds the attendance was estimated at 140,000. The Grateful Dead played on Sunday August 4th. The full lineup of performers for the festival included Jefferson Airplane Sonny & Cher, The Byrds, Tiny Tim, Country Joe & the Fish, Eric Burdon and the Animals, and more. Early Grateful Dead material is constantly being scooped up by collectors and this lot will prove to be no different!
