This Scenic Sounds Original Handbill is quite special with three big names on the bill at the Rose Palace: The Grateful Dead Jethro Tull and the Paul Butterfield Blues Band! The Dead set on Saturday night featured a classic 1969 Dark Star Saint Stephen The Eleven Lovelight power punch delivery. The Rose Palace in Pasadena had originally been built for the construction of floats for the Tournament of Roses Parade which is held every New Year's Day in the city. During the late sixties and through the seventies it was also used as a concert venue. Original handbills from the Rose Palace of any band are difficult to find because so few were made. When a specimen features the incomparable Grateful Dead it always creates a lot of excitement!
