The Grateful Dead played a pair of shows at the short-lived Family Dog Venue in Denver Colorado in 1967. This advertisement for said event is a real sleeper among Dead posters. It features skull imagery with a “pigpen nose”. In addition, “Grateful Dead” is spelled out in the Skull's teeth.

This is a museum-quality piece by artist Dennis Nolan. In September 2019 another same-graded 9.8 example reached a high watermark of $570 in our auction. That is a HUGE value for such a beautiful museum-quality Dead original printing poster! This lot showcases EVERYTHING collectors are looking for in a buried treasure!
