The Early Avalon Ballroom handbills from 1966 are the finest and most valuable from the era. The print runs were low and the art was fresh and innovative. This original handbill features two great bands from Texas, the groundbreaking psychedelic band, 13th Floor Elevators and The Tex Mex/R& B innovators Sir Douglass Quintet.
This is an amazing example of the early work of Mouse and Kelley. The 3.5 grade offers the opportunity to get good overall quality without paying the sky high premiums that higher examples command. This is the first of four different variants of the original pre-concert first printing, and includes the I.D. Magazine ad on the reverse of the handbill.
