This original screen-printed poster was designed to promote The Rudies appearance at CBGB's in New York City on Halloween night in 1979 with the Helen Wheels Band in support. The poster is large and striking. The print-run was painfully low they were hand pulled in the artists apartment, only a handful of copies remain.The Rudies were an explosive power pop band that emerged during the death of glitter and the birth of punk in the mid to late 70s NYC rock scene. The legendary venues full name of CBGB & OMFUG stands for "Country, Bluegrass, Blues and Other Music for Uplifting Gormandizers". The theme, along with poetry readings, yielded to the movement into punk rock. The Ramones played their first shows at CBGB. Original Posters from this era of this legendary venue seldom surface and are highly collectible.
