1976 Grateful Dead Market Square Arena Concert Poster

Presenting this rare Grateful Dead poster for the FIRST time in a PAE auction! This piece advertises the Dead's appearance at Market Square Arena in Indianapolis in October of 1976. At this point in history, the band didn't rely primarily on posters to advertise their shows. During this era where arena rock was beginning to take off, bands and artists relied primarily on newspaper and radio advertisements to promote their events. Because of this, Grateful Dead posters from this era are often quite rare and desirable. This one features a nice design and color scheme and would be an excellent addition to any Grateful Dead collection. It is unlikely that this poster will make an appearance again in an auction in the near future!
