The small Matrix Club in the Marina district of San Francisco created some of the best handbills and flyers of the day they were at times lighthearted and amusing. This example illustrates that perfectly. This black and white handbill uses some “serious” brothers puns to promote a performance by the Chambers Brothers in 1967. The main illustration is of the Smith Brothers of cough drop fame. Additionally there is advice from game makers “Parker Brothers” to the left.
