The image was based on "Jupiter and Thetis" a beautiful 1811 painting by French neoclassical artist Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres. The art is a great example of Moscoso's incredible talent as a designer and illustrator. This particular colorful issue is under appreciated and undervalued in collecting circles. Surprisingly often overlooked in the Family Dog series. This is the FIRST SIGNED CGC graded example to appear in our auction!
