Presenting for the FIRST time in a PAE auction this rare poster from the 1979 Concerts for Safe Energy. Musicians United for Safe Energy (MUSE) was an activist group founded in 1979 by Jackson Browne Graham Nash Bonnie Raitt and others to advocate against the use of nuclear energy. 

 

MUSE organized a series of five No Nukes concerts held at Madison Square Garden in New York in September 1979. This poster with art by graphic designer Seymour Chwast was produced by Darien House for those shows. Musicians who performed at these concerts (none listed on the poster itself) were Crosby Still Nash Bruce Springsteen Tom Petty James Taylor   Carly Simon Chaka Khan the Doobie Brothers Jesse Colin Young Gil Scott-Heron Dan Fogelberg Poco and others.
