This is the FIRST example of this poster to appear in our auction and it's CGC authenticated! The Hippodrome in San Diego was one of few venues like it in the area during 1968 so original posters from this club are not often available. The one you see here is extra difficult to locate. This run of concerts by the Velvet Underground included Clover & Maya in support.
The colorful design by artist Rebecca Galdeano exhibits beautiful lettering and intricate patterns. A great looking original poster from a historic venue with an iconic band!
An example not certified by CGC and in lower condition with paper loss & tack holes sold in another public auction for $3 100.00. This superior super clean specimen here is sure to attract attention from collectors - it being the first CGC graded example we've ever offered!
