Presenting in our auction for the FIRST TIME with CGC grading this Original 1966 First Printing Poster from the Matrix featuring Big Brother with Janis Joplin. The art was designed by Stanley Mouse and is a favorite among collectors due to the inclusion of the band member's likenesses. The tiny sized Matrix club was located in the Marina district of San Francisco and was managed for a short period by Marty Balin of Jefferson Airplane fame. The club produced a great series of posters and handbills. Several early advertisements for the club like this one here provide collectors an opportunity to acquire a documented history of the music scene in San Francisco during the mid to late sixties. This piece is 100% Original with no restoration!
