Here is a once-in-a-lifetime collecting opportunity! Presenting these ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS from Janis Joplin's appearance at the Hollywood Bowl on September 20th 1969. This lot includes a contract for the show dated April 3rd 1969 that has been SIGNED by Janis Joplin! Also included is a Hollywood Bowl Association agreement leasing the venue to Sight and Sound Productions for the event. Finally this lot includes a handmade cardboard box office sign that was also designed for the same show.
This concert occurred just days after the release of Joplin's debut solo studio album I Got Dem Ol' Kozmic Blues Again Mama! This was Joplin's first release following her departure from Big Brother and the Holding Company in 1968. These original documents represent an amazing one-of-a-kind signed piece of music history that any music fan or collector would be lucky to own.
