This original poster was produced to advertise Senator Eugene McCarthy appearing in person at the Cow Palace on May 22nd 1968. The Peace & Equality Campaign Rally included music entertainment and other attractions. McCarthy's strong anti-Vietnam War platform stirred a grass roots level of support from many students and youth deep in the counterculture movement. Although McCarthy did not win the Democratic nomination his vigorous anti-war efforts carried on into the future. This vintage poster is 100% original with no restoration and is the first to ever appear in our auction. "Students Free" written at the bottom in ink. A true period piece from the Cow Palace!
