This handbill features Blue Cheer along with Jello's Gas Band in support appearing at the Happening #7 event held at San Diego Community Concourse on April 6 1968. The design was created by artist Don Kay. The San Francisco Acid Rock band Blue Cheer was one of the great bands of the era. They were unapologetically powerful and loud. Their take on Eddie Cochran’s “Summertime Blues” is the quintessential version of the song.
