Another first-timer original poster appearing in our auction! The historic Keystone Korner in North Beach showcased many new musical groups poets and artists during the late 60's and well into the 70's. The small but legendary venue also became a sort of home-close to home favorite spot to jam for Jerry Garcia.
This original calendar poster was produced to advertise upcoming events and features February & March 1970 appearances by Big Brother & The Holding Company Big Mama Thornton Nick Gravenites Mike Bloomfield Elvin Bishop Boz Scaggs Joy of Cooking The Cleveland Wrecking Company and many more. Guitarist Nick Gravenites had a lot to do with bringing new live music into the venue a year earlier and organizing weekly jam sessions there with Bloomfield and many more friends. THIS POSTER IS AN OVERLOOKED LOT OFFERING WITH HUGE POTENTIAL for collectors. This tiny club did not produce a large quantity of promotional material.
