Presenting for the first time in our auction we have a LARGE Frank Zappa original promotional poster distributed (factory folded in sixths) in the LP release to promote his film "200 Motels" showing in theaters during 1971. The film portrays the craziness of life on the road as a rock musician and as such consists of a series of unconnected nonsense vignettes interspersed with live concert footage of the Mothers of Invention. The movie has been described as a "surrealistic documentary". The soundtrack album was released in the same year with a slightly different selection of music and this is the insert promo poster that came with the double LP. This oversized poster will be shipped folded in sixths as it was originally distributed in 1971.
