Grateful Dead concert posters are always amongst the most popular issues and this 1977 Northern Illinois University specimen will be no exception. Deadheads across the globe will agree that 1977 was an amazing era for the band and they played some of their best sounding concerts during that year. This show at Evans Fieldhouse has been celebrated with shared audio soundboard recordings produced by Betty Cantor Jackson which have circulated for decades. An extremely hot Saint Stephen was delivered!
Posters in this condition from the same year such as the legendary Barton Hall start at $3000 and go up from there. There are dozens known of the Barton Hall issue so it will be interesting to see what value the market assigns to this ULTRA RARE concert poster! In November 2017 another example in similar condition of this Evans Fieldhouse poster reached $3462 in our auction. 100% Original with no restoration!
