This brilliant image of Jimi Hendrix is the most desirable and sought after poster of the entire Big O series. The Hendrix “Explosion” created in 1968 by Australian artist Martin Sharp is huge in size and power! Martin Sharp was a big contributor to the sixties art scene. He is most notably recognized as the artist who created the cover of the classic Cream record “Disraeli Gears”.

Sharp's colorful artwork is based on a Linda McCartney photograph taken of Hendrix performing at the Rheingold Festival in Central Park New York during 1967. This famous image was also chosen as the cover design for the book “Get on Down - A Decade of Rock and Roll Posters” edited by Mick Farren. This LARGE original poster is extremely rare and hard to find in ANY condition! The beautiful example you see here is 100% Original with no restoration!
