We are pleased to offer this difficult to find original 1965 Bob Dylan concert handbill that promoted his performance at The Patrick Gym on the campus of The University of Vermont.
These rustic handbills were produced quickly by students at a local print shop and distributed for advertisement of the show on Campus bulletin boards & phone poles by students and teachers. This is the first we've ever auctioned. Another example of this mimeographed paper original handbill issue reached $512.50 a couple years ago in another public auction.
Dylan opened with an acoustic set that was followed by an electric set backed by the Hawks later to be renamed The Band. His legendary album "Highway 61 Revisited" had just been released a month prior. This would be Dylan’s only performance in the state of Vermont in the 1960’s.
