The Straight Theater was a small venue in the heart of Haight Ashbury the epicenter of the 1960's youth movement in San Francisco . This was an event held by the organizers at the theater at the larger capacity Avalon Ballroom. The show featured a perfromance by the Grateful Dead and Reading by Beat poet Michael McClure.
