1966–FD-5-OP-1-Blues Project-Great Society-Avalon Ballroom Concert Poster-ALL TIME COLLECTOR FAVORITE! CGC Graded 9.2

The FD-5 First Printing Poster is one of the most popular issues in the Family Dog series for several reasons. First this piece has tremendous historical significance as it is the very first Family Dog concert held at the Avalon Ballroom. Second this is the first Family Dog poster to feature the Family Dog slogan “May the baby Jesus shut your mouth and open your mind". Last and certainly not least this beautiful Wes Wilson design is truly sensational and looks great “on the wall”.

We’ve tracked this issue at auction for a number of years and it always commands exciting bidding when it appears in the high quality condition seen here. In January last year a specimen graded a slightly higher 9.4 and signed reached $5700 in our auction. With the exception of no signature this 9.2 graded example is virtually indistinguishable looking in quality to the previously sold 9.4!
