Country Joe and The Fish were a ubiquitous Bay Area band in the 1960’s. The band played frequently in Berkeley and this performance was at UC Berkeley’s Pauley Ballroom.
We have been talking to a lot of collectors recently that are snapping up posters like this as they are seen as incredibly cheap bargains. You get a well-known San Francisco band with an attractive design from the 1960’s in perfect condition for a fraction of what you pay for the same type of poster from the Fillmore or Avalon. How many can there be in this condition? This one will make someone very happy!
Side Note: Many collectors believe that 1960's posters such as this that are not part of the Fillmore or Avalon series but that are in good condition and feature “Name Bands” are severely undervalued at current price levels.
