1967–Ami Magill-Human Be-in-Gathering of the Tribes VARIANT Original Concert Handbill-PAE Graded Near Mint '81'

This is the original handbill for the 1967 Gathering of the Tribes created by artist Ami Magill and perhaps the most difficult to find variant of all the different Tribes handbills. Magill also designed material for events at Longshoreman's Hall and the 1965 Tribute to Doctor Strange. We are excited to offer the collecting community this rare Magill original version.

The Human Be-In kicked off the Summer of Love. It was originally conceived as an opportunity for the San Francisco Bohemians and Berkeley radicals to join forces in celebration of their respective counter culture ideals. The stage was taken by the major San Francisco bands of the day as well as Psychedelic advocates political radicals beat writers and spiritualists. This is the FIRST example of this handbill to ever appear in our auction!
