Franks Zappa’s legendary Album “Hot Rats” was a high point in the recording career of this modern day composer. The mostly instrumental recording was a departure from his earlier satirical (yet musically brilliant) work with the Mothers of invention. Hot Rats is considered a benchmark in Jazz Fusion history. Zappa Brought the Hot Rats Band to Berkeley California in April of 1970 for one of the few performances on a tour in support of the groundbreaking album. This Bill Graham poster is one of the very few remnants of this historic period in the life of this unparalleled musician.
