| This is the very FIRST CGC graded example a Goose Lake International Music Festival Original Handbill to EVER appear in our auction! The event took place August 9th thru 11th 1970 at Goose Lake Park in Jackson Michigan. The Grande's Russ Gibb was involved with the festival production however his name did not appear on the posters or handbills advertising the bands & lineup - with the exception of the event program. The entertainment bill was extensive including big names like Alice Cooper James Gang-Mountain The Stooges Joe Cocker Jethro Tull Ten Years After Chicago and many more. This example here is the OHB-C version handbill with pink ink design on white paper and the lettering at the bottom from a typewriter. Handbills such as this have traditionally been much easier to counterfeit than posters and this issue is a perfect example. During the mid 2000's several different pirated versions of these handbills began circulating here and there. This piece here is a 100% Original First Printing certified by the leader in third party authentication. CGC grading has brought much needed integrity to this marketplace and demand by collectors has now skyrocketed since they can buy with confidence.
