| This poster is from the legendary Ultrasounds Collection the most extensive and finest quality collection of concert posters from this era. This lot is amongst the very FIRST posters from the Ultrasounds Collection to be CGC authenticated and graded. A portion of the proceeds of this lot will be donated to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina. Together we CAN end hunger. Based in North Carolina since 1981 the non-profit Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina annually distributes over 70 million pounds of food and household items throughout their 24 county service region. Here we have a poster that was produced for a 1998 concert by Nashville Pussy at La Luna in Portland. This was a very EARLY concert in the band's career. They were touring to support the group’s new debut album. The following year they were nominated for a Grammy. The poster was produced by Mike King for hanging on telephone poles record store windows ticket agencies and coffee houses around town. King is widely regarded to be the most prolific concert poster artist of all time and the most important artist of this era. Material from the pacific northwest is always considered special by collectors. They often tell a story all their own and have a different vibe than pieces from other parts of the country. “Telephone pole flyers” like this are highly collectible and are notably representative of the music loving culture that produced them.
