In this sale we are offering a true piece of Acid Test / Grateful Dead history for the FIRST TIME with CGC grading! The legendary San Francisco State Acid test ... otherwise known as “What Ever it is ?” was held on September 30 – October 2 1966. This original poster was produced for on-campus use and very few were printed before the event for promotion. Even less have survived since. There were two types of posters distributed one with a white sticker announcing the list of bands (Like this one here) and one without the sticker. Only a small handful of either type have surfaced for collectors over the decades. This was the last true Acid Test. LSD would be declared illegal in a matter of days and the Pranksters would hold the Acid Test Graduation a month later. It's well known that Acid Test material enjoys a feverish cult following and any piece that surfaces ALWAYS enjoys top demand and bidding competition. 1966 Acid Test posters can EASILY trade for $25 000- $50 000 in ANY condition.
