This lot includes a Signed Letter of Authenticity by Jay Thelin proprietor of The Psychedelic Shop! The short lived but historic shop closed in October 1967. The poster once graced the walls of the shop and has been in Jay Thelin's possession since. 

Early Family Dog posters are among the most sought after issues by collectors due to their ultra low issue numbers and minuscule survival rates. According to Eric King's Collector's Guide just 1000 specimens or less were produced of the first 13 Family Dog issues.

Here’s an opportunity to acquire a really pleasing example of the elusive FD-8 original printing for much less than higher graded examples can command. In the past 9.8 graded specimens have traded for as much as $3795 making this piece a great combination of quality and value.
