EXTREMELY SCARCE! This vintage original poster is numbered 67/260 in the bottom right corner and was produced to promote for the 1967 Columbia Pictures film "The Love-Ins” featuring Richard Todd James MacArthur and Susan Oliver. The movie was directed by Arthur Dreifuss and represented the 1960's San Francisco scene to the general public particularly the Haight-Ashbury district. The film was also loosely based on Doctor Timothy Leary. The psych-garage band The Chocolate Watchband made an appearance in the film as well as contributing their music to the soundtrack. This LARGE original poster was distributed to cinemas to promote the film showings and theaters were instructed to "immediately return the poster" back to the distributor afterwards (see bottom edge of the poster)!
